Meet the Pastor
Elder Henry Wright has been pastor of Rash Temple for 29 years. He was born in Lyons, MS and raised in Marks, MS. He is the oldest child of 8 children of Willie Benson and Rosie Lee Wright. Before he accepted the call to pastor, he was truck driver on and off for about 40 years.
Our Pastor truly encompasses and bears the fruits of the spirit; He is so loving and joyful, peaceful, and has proven his nature for long-suffering. He is always kind and gentle, with a goodness that shines through constantly. His God-fearing faith is real, and he has a truly humble spirit. He also has a temperamental self-control that only be credited to his faith in God, for his glory. He is an amazing leader.
He has a God-given vision. He has a special love for helping people in need, ministering to children, leading people to Christ, and help those who already know him to nurture their relationship with him. It spurred him to start Rash Temple Outreach Ministries, which is the outlet in which he uses to accomplish his love for helping people. He called a meeting of and conveyed the message to the other elders.
Our pastor is committed to his congregation and his community. He truly cares about everyone, and is willing to help in any way that he can. He also has a passion for music. He can play various instruments with the skill of an artist. He incorporates his musical talents during our praise and worship segments of church and group meetings.
He attended Charles Harris Mason Bible College in Clarksdale, MS for his pastoral training.
Elder Wright is an excellent teacher, and knows the Word of God with spiritual understanding. His passion is to teach the Word of God through his spiritual gift of preaching and music. He desires to convey the word of God in a way that will encourage others to apply it to daily life.
